Communities Caring for Canopy: Tree walk through Lyman Point Park 09/10/25

Show Details

Clare Forseth, secretary of the Hartford Tree Board, gives an update on the "Communities Caring for Canopy" grant awarded by the Vermont Urban and Community Forestry Program. The grant's purpose is to enhance urban forest areas. The Hartford Tree Board chose Lyman Point Park as an area to plant trees not common to our region to help educate the public, open up views to the river and mitigate knotweed. Forseth also takes viewers on a tree walk to highlight some of the park's improvements and trees that might not be commonly seen in our area. Video produced by volunteer Laura Savidge.
