Eshqua Bog Natural Area in Hartland, noted for its wild orchids and cherished by the Hartland Nature Club, was conserved by The Nature Conservancy in partnership with the Native Plant Trust in 1990. Hundreds of people visit during the month of June to celebrate the bloom of the Showy Lady's Slipper (Cypripedium reginae) as shown in the video. Other orchids that can be seen, in order of usual appearance include Yellow Lady's Slipper, White Bog Orchid, and Northern Green Orchids. The bog (actually a fen!) is located on Garvin Hill Road.
