Hotel Coolidge proprietor David Briggs presents his lecture "The Coolidge Block Story" to an audience at the Hartford Historical Society. He shared a historical narrative of downtown White River Junction, beginning with the village's pre-railroad days in the 1840's, up to the present day, with archival photos showing once prominent buildings that are now long gone. He concluded with his vision for redevelopment of the Hotel Coolidge Block which could include an underground parking garage and health clinic. Instead of selling the building and leaving its future up to chance he is formulating a plan he hopes will guide new construction, that would honor its legacy while ushering in a new era of vitality.
