Description The Hartford Energy Commission sponsored two workshops titled "Energize UV 2.0" with a theme of how homeowners can save money by using less electricity. Keynote speaker Julian Leon of the Vermont Energy Education Program (VEEP) with several other experts presented information about home weatherization, heat pumps, solar panels, and other ways to achieve energy savings. Each workshop featured an audience experience with experiments that demonstrated how different materials transfer energy, a bicycle powering light bulbs, using solar panels to charge a home battery system and more.
